Project Description

Bethany Sontag

Bethany (“Beth”) Sontag is from Southern New Hampshire, where she grew up training, dancing, and competing all over New England. From 2014 to 2018, and again from 2020 to 2021, Beth danced professionally with Saving Grace Dance Ensemble under the creative direction of Robyn Goulette. In 2020, she graduated from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Dance. While at Belhaven, she studied under acclaimed instructors such as Mia Whitehead, Elizabeth Sweatt, Cynthia Newland, Laura Morton, Krista Bower, and Ravena Tucker-Wagnon. Beth was also a company dancer in Belhaven’s Dance Ministry Ensemble from 2018 to 2020, and was cast in works by Carleigh Dunbar, Mia Whitehead, Vincent and Abigail Hardy, and Stella Almblade, among others, while performing and touring across the South.

Beth has taught, choreographed, and coached students nationwide, with her choreography receiving recognition and awards at competitions throughout the Northeast. She continues to train and perform in the New England area, and in 2022, she was a dancer in the first Dance Heels Live performance, directed by Tara Brown in collaboration with Burju Shoes. Beth is a certified group fitness instructor and is also certified through YPAD Dance and Acrobatic Arts. In addition to her passion for dance, Beth can be found pursuing continuing education. She is excited to grow at Allegro alongside the dancers and faculty!
