Project Description

Julia LaFlamme

Julia LaFlamme’s journey in dance began at Allegro Dance Academy, where she trained starting at the age of 5 and spent 10 of her 13 years as a dedicated company dancer. Her passion for dance led her to Keene State College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Dance. At Keene State, Julia thrived as a member of the Keene State College Dance Team, competing in both the Hip Hop and Game-day categories at UDA (Universal Dance Association). Her leadership skills were evident as she served on the Executive Board and was the captain of the team her senior year.

Julia’s college experience included collaboration with renowned choreographers Cynthia McLaughlin, Molly Fletcher Lynch-Clark, Tatiana Desardouin, and Lauren Cox, as well as the creation of her own choreography, which was showcased and adjudicated at the American College Dance Association. Julia also interned with the New Hampshire Dance Institute, where she taught dance in local schools, further honing her skills as a dance educator.

Julia is deeply committed to inspiring dancers to explore and embrace their passions. Returning to Allegro Dance Academy, the place where her dance journey began, is especially meaningful for her. She is eager to contribute to the studio’s legacy by nurturing the next generation of dancers and helping them achieve their fullest potential.
